ATTENTION SOPHOMORES!!!! The sophomore class is meeting today after school at 2:10 in room 402 to discuss upcoming fundraisers. Hope to see you there for your input.
Are you 17 or older? Then help save lives by signing up to donate blood! Any student 17 or older can sign up during their lunch today through Wednesday to donate blood on February 17th! Donation times go quick so be the first to sign up so you can make a difference in the lives of others!
Students interested in taking an Independent Study in Music for the 2012/2013 school year must complete an application by Tuesday, February 14th. See Mr. Cushing or Mr. Sindorf for details.
Rock on! Jazz Band auditions for the 2012/2013 school year will be held after school on Monday, February 6th and Tuesday, February 7th. In order to enroll in the class, you must take an audition. Please stop by Mr. Sindorf\'s office to pick up music and sign up for a time.
GOT TALENT? The date has been set for OUR ANNUAL TALENT SHOW—it is THURSDAY, FEB. 23. Please see Mrs. Burdick in Room 109 for more sign up information. Our first practice will be on February 16.
Mark Your Calendars---The Black-Light Winter Ball will be on Saturday, February 25. The dress code is CASUAL; tickets will go on sale next week during lunch. Come get your swag on!!!
Clubs:
Drama Club: Come join us for Movie Night at MHS 7 PM, Friday, Jan. 13, 2012. We will be showing Footloose (the original movie). Admission: $3.00, Popcorn, Candy and Beverages will be for sale.
Environmental Club will meet today – new members welcome – see Mrs. Pierce or Mrs. Smith!
FCCLA Culinary Club will meet on Wednesday February 1st for event planning and baking. Bring your creative ideas for easy and tasty baked products for our upcoming events. New members are welcome.
Math Team: All Math team members, please see Mr. Kelly regarding the math meet on Tuesday, February 7th.

Bake sale at Montville Stop & Shop – March 31, 2012: Variety of baked goods and drinks. Funds will go toward Class of 2012
Ronald McDonald House Support: February -June 2012: Collect non-magnetic aluminum tabs. 1200 tabs = 1 pound. The tabs are given to RMH who redeems them for market rate. All the money is used for the RMH of CT to support families staying there while their children undergo medical treatment. Additional Information: Cheryl Fish

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for more ‘Bigs’ this school year
COMMUNITY SERVICE: Big Brothers / Big Sisters
As a Big, you would be matched in a 1 to 1 mentoring relationship with a child from Oakdale Elementary School. The commitment is once a week for about an hour. They usually pair ‘big\\\'s’ with ‘little\\\'s’ at Oakdale. Juniors and Sophomores are usually the best candidates. Volunteers must have their own transportation. Freshmen can apply but only after the first semester is complete.
An interview is conducted here at the high school with the coordinator once the paperwork is completed. If you are interested please stop by the main office and ask for an application.
